Fredericksburg Bed and Breakfasts

Here in Fredericksburg, there is a bed and breakfast on almost every corner it seems. The attraction to our little town has grown substantially in the past few years, bringing people from all over the country. Our wineries, where it feels like one pops up every day, have become comparable to that of Napa California. We take pride in the heritage of our town and we also take pride in the bed and breakfast CKB built, and each one our clients choose to bring to life. While we enjoy building new homes and/or bed and breakfasts, we also enjoy restoring the historical homes and buildings around town that people use to remind visitors of our town’s past.

Each building tells a story of those who have made this town what it is today, and we feel it’s our job to maintain those structures.

Here are three projects we have completed: the first was a B&B, the second is in the process of taking on that role, and the third was a renovation mixed with a new build.

The bed and breakfast turned home, we built on Settlement Dr. was a busy place for visitors. We decided it would be neat to leave a guest book for those to leave their comments about the B&B as well as details about their trip to Fredericksburg. Because we did this, we were able to hear a wide variety of stories from birthday parties, to bachelorette parties, and family gatherings. Fredericksburg is a place to come and get away and enjoy the small town feel of the hill country.

 

The next bed and breakfast we have recently completed on Centre Street, is a charming historic home that desperately needed some TLC. It now has proud new owners and a complete makeover, while still maintaining the character of the home. Too bad this home does not carry a guest book from its past.

 

This third project was part of a completely new build seen in a previous blog post (The Blacksmith Quarters on Barons Creek). This historic home, now a bed and breakfast, underwent a total renovation, hosting numerous guests and social events.
